Okay, so, Taako gave in and started organizing the shop a bit. Rather than doing things logically, however, he was organizing all the stock by color. So at least it'd look pretty.

Good luck finding anything.

He was there.

Magnus had gotten himself lost on the mainland this entire past week. Because of course he did.

But he was back and he had Starbucks to share. ~~And a wooden duck.~~ "You changed the place."

"Did I?" Yes, yes he did.

Wait, wait. He had to roll an investigation check to make sure.

"Yes," he settled on after a moment. "Yes, you did."

Magnus sounded awful proud of himself as he offered Taako some overly sweet frap.

"Oooh!" Yes, he was a sucker for sugary drinks. Even if they all tasted the same to him. "Thanks, thug."

One day he'd break the key lime Gogurt curse.

"No problem. They're really good," he replied. "It'd be way cool if they had one on the moon."

"The moon could use a lot more luxuries," Taako agreed. "Though last I saw everybody was abandoning it."

"Even the Chug-N-Squeeze?" Everyone's favorite pottery making chain.

"Oh I'll be real sad if the Chug-N-Squeeze closed." Even with the imminent threat of total destruction.

Where else could you have a nice evening of pottery and drinking way too much?

"I tried checking out the city off the coast," Magnus said. "For anything to get us back there. But everyone kept asking if I was LARPing?"

Which just confused him.

"...yeah I could see that." Magnus was straight outta Ren Fest. "How is the city? Interesting night life?"

...okay, that was fair.

"Not bad? I mean. Someone did try to mug me at one point." Because 'Ren Fest weirdo' apparently meant 'easy pickings'. "Which was pretty fun."

"Tried?" he asked.

"Oh, I Phantom Fisted that motherfucker into a wall."

As one does.

"Nice!" Of course he expected nothing less. "That'll show them for trying to steal."

Said the person who stole all the time.

Yes, but Taako stole for a good cause. Well. Taako shared what he stole sometimes?

"Right? Wasn't even a rogue!"

"Amateur," Taako said, shaking his head. "When will people learn?"

"I looted some more of the weird paper money they have off him." They were suuuuch murder hobos. "Kinda missing the gold pieces."

"Yeah the currency here sucks," Taako agreed. "Those dudes on there are fugly. Except the guy on the ten."

Yeah, Magnus had to dig out the cash he'd looted to see which old guy was on that bill.

"I guess. He seems like someone I'd watch a musical of."

"Right? Dude looks cool as hell," Taako said. "I've been hoarding all the tens 'cause of him."

"Good plan," Magnus said, nodding in firm agreement. "They might come in handy later on. Like the robot arms."

He so needed to rebuild his collection.

"You know I'm pretty sure you've used up all your luck with robot arms."

"I have not!" They worked super well on the purple worm.

"Robot arms are not the solution to every problem!" Magic missile was.

Magic missile or anything involving tentacles?

"They might be."

"Keep dreaming, buddy," Taako said with a wave of his hand. "Just admit you have an arm fetish."

"It's not a fetish," Magnus replied. "I'm not the one threatening to make tentacle porn out of people here."

"It's a good spell!"

"It's tentacles!"

"Which are a type of arm so you should love it." Check and mate.

Magnus opened his mouth to dispute that, but couldn't figure out how.

"I am not saying I love tentacles."

"Oh I think you are," Taako teased.

"I'll take away your frappacino," Magnus grumbled.

"Try it and you'll get some tentacles after you." You'd take this key lime frappe out of his cold, dead hands!

"I could fight them off." This would end badly.

"You'd enjoy fighting them off," Taako said. "Because you enjoy tentacles."

"Regardless, you're not going to burn a spell slot on it."

He thought. Maybe.

"You really want to try me on this?" He had burned a spell slot on less.

"...do you sell healing potions here?" That was pretty close to a yes.

"Always, my dude."

"If I give you more tens, can I have them for this... experiment?"

In which he would get to use the Flaming, Raging, Poisoning Sword of Doom.

"I suppose I can allow that," Taako said. "Can't have you dying on me."

Again.

"Plus we're without our healer." There was the requisite pause before laughing at Merle's healing capabilities.

Taako laughed as well, placing some health potions on the counter. "Fight the tentacles in the stock room, dude, I just organized the place."

"Next up, I wanna try fighting angelic Della Reese!"

Of course he did.
