Okay. Zack had to draw a line somewhere, probably. They'd wound up with a horse a month or two back, and all the chickens. But the person who had come in today saying that they could no longer take care of their beloved pet was taking this really seriously, and Zack wasn't quite certain how to explain that if there was any one kind of pet out there that probably could get set free...

But no, dearest Iggy absolutely needed a home, and his former owner was threatening to break into tears, laying out a list of Iggy's needs, everything Iggy liked best in order to make for a smooth transition into shelter life.

Zack sighed as he held out a hand to take the list that Iggy's owner had brought in with him.

"I promise, he'll be taken good care of."

And that was why there was a large chunk of granite sitting at the front desk for the rest of the day. Iggy appreciated a view of what was going on, apparently.
