Steve decided to take out some of his still very-pent-up anger and frustration out on the punching bags tonight.

You know, normally Kanan didn't bother with the gym. Normally, Kanan would head into the preserve and just beat up trees until whatever was bothering him was out of his system. But today he'd been a traumatized child, a small cat, and a blind man in fairly rapid succession, and so the idea of being alone in the woods tonight didn't strike him as a great idea.

And that was why he was making his way into the gym. Not as private, but probably safer. At least he did pause on his way to a punching bag of his own in order to throw a frustrated salute in Steve's direction.

Sorry, Steve. He probably wouldn't be cranky for long?

Steve smiled back. "Tough day?" he guessed.

"It will be significantly less tough once I beat the poodoo out of-- ah!"

He was short again. Short and wearing Jedi robes, Padawan braid and all.

"Come on, Fandom!"

At least this time he was just surprised, and not actively having an emotional crisis. Progress!

"Nice hair," Steve snickered, then looked down. "Dammit," he muttered.

At least Fandom had given him a shirt back?

"Your hair isn't half bad either," Kanan said, smirking and taking a seat on the floor for... some reason. At least he was his normal age again. "You'll have to tell me what shampoo you use."

"Whatever Tony buys," Steve said, tossing his now floppy hair in a way that looked like it should make his wee-skinny self keel right over.

"What, you mean you don't actually know?"

Kanan, there was no need to get aggressive at wee Steve.

Though in fairness, the Stormtroopers that had wandered in to hold him back for no apparent reason probably weren't helping the mood.

"I don't really care that much," Steve said, tossing his now much longer and still awesome hair over his shoulder. "What's with the soldiers?"

"What is with the soldiers?"

Yeah, Kanan was Caleb again, and once again shocked. Which he would be, what with how unrepentantly tiny Jedi he was looking in that moment.

"Oh, this is bad."

He was innocent, please don't kill him, Troopers.

"Hey, cut this kid a break, okay?" Steve said, standing before Kanan protectively and deploying his "totally empathizing with you" eyes at full volume.

"Don't call me 'kid,'" Kanan said, almost reflexively, back to his normal age and turning a glower toward the Troopers.

For what it was worth, they were probably just as thrown off by what was going on today as anybody, weren't they?

"But yeah, I came here to beat on a heavy bag. Not looking for trouble."

"Me either," Steve said, blinking confusedly as Bucky joined the Stormtroopers.

This was getting very uncomfortable.

... This situation was not getting any better. Really, really not getting any better.

Clearly what it needed was Kanan being a karking cowboy.

"Any of you really want to start something, you can feel free."

Said the armed guy. Yessir.

Steve immediately cowered behind his shield, which had showed up from wherever Kanan's blaster had come from.

"Bad idea," he hissed. "Buck's a sniper."

"Yeah," Caleb said breezily, as if nothing was wrong in the whole wide world, "but is he a Jedi?"

Sorry, Steve. Caleb Dume was a pretty cocky kid before everything went to hell.

"Probably not, but I don't really know him as well as I thought I did," Steve said, making a face.

"Well, I don't know what to do about that one, but it'd probably be easier to figure out without all these guys here," Kanan waved a hand at the Troopers. "You can all move along now. You have more important things to do elsewhere."

... Seriously, as soon as the island was going to let him, he was going to get so drunk because of today.

Steve gave Bucky a wobbly smile, trying not to cry. (It had been a long few weeks, okay?) "Yeah," he said softly. "This isn't really your time, pal."

"... You two want to be left alone for this?"

Kanan was actually actively ignoring the horrible bandaged wound across his eyes, by this point. He'd spent all day bouncing back and forth between being fifteen and being blind, it was kind of starting to lose its shock value.

[OOC: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I SWEAR TO GOD I DIDN'T DO THIS.]

Steve glanced at Kanan's blindfold, thought to himself, "Screw it," and planted one on a shocked Bucky before Bucky disappeared off to wherever Steve's shield and his shirt had gone.

And Kanan, recovering from his impromptu blindness a moment too late to catch anything interesting, just grinned. He grinned big and stupid, noting that Bucky had left.

"Was it something I said?"

No, Kanan. Steve had just kissed Bucky out of existence. As you do.

"I don't think so," Steve said, now in his blue uniform.

Blushing slightly.

Kanan took a seat on the floor. Because... hey. Why not?

"If you say so," he said. Dubiously.

"I'm Captain America," Steve said, wryly, gesturing to his uniform. "I don't lie."

And now it was Kanan's turn to stand around shirtless.

"Does that mean I've actually found something I can do that you can't?"

Kanan, living a lie wasn't actually something to be proud of.
