There was a note waiting for Peter this morning, and he read it, gave it a skeptical look, then called the customer.
"Hello? Yes, this is the flower shop. You were asking about bouquets for National Chicken Wing day?"
...
"I'm afraid we don't have anything ready made, but I'm happy to work on something. Did you want something more ornamental, or..."
...
"Yes, I understand. Yes, of course. I'll see what I can do."
Which was why, in between bouts of dealing with a clingy hens-and-chicks, Peter was seeing what sorts of peppers and spices would make a good bouquet.
