Brooke had other stores, but she'd always had people to set them up for her, and then all she had to do was sign some checks for it. This was the first time she was doing it herself, and it was sort of a pain. She was the one getting painters in and having racks and counters brought in, and since she didn't have a staff yet it was up to her to check off on the stock she was getting in, and then do things like unbox it.
She'd say it was slumming it, but she was also in a store that she owned of fairly high-end goods that she designed, so... not so much.
So there was Brooke, opening up boxes with music going in the background, and several help wanted signs in the window. Including a "Help wanted, for the love of god let me pay you."
