Luke's Diner, Saturday

"No," Miguel said firmly. "I don't care if it's actual leftover time. You had your chance last week, now we're doing leftovers my way."

The cook scowled, but Miguel wasn't giving on this one.

Amaya had been working all afternoon, the sort of work that really worked up an appetite but left you a little too tired to want to make your own food. And even though she flinched a little at the idea of spending any extra money on frivolous things, she decided to finally go check out the diner in town to see what they might have to offer.

"Well," she muttered to herself as she eyed the specials board, "I guess that's some meat. Hey! What've you got that might be even...meatier?"

Amaya was a woman who liked her meat, what could she say?

"Mmmmm." Amaya considered those options before giving a resolute nod. "A hamburger's good. So's a steak. Maybe a side of bacon, make it a trifecta. Oooh! Have you got anything by the way on mutton?"

Her stomach gave an appreciative growl at the suggestion, a growl met with a proud smirk and a little pat rather than embarrassment..

[[whoops! sorry about that! buuuuuy yay sp?]]

"....Both?" said Amaya hopefully after a moment, and her stomach happily agreed.

Her wallet, on the other hand....but she'd been working hard. It wouldn't hurt to splurge every now and again, right?

"No, greens are good, too!" Amaya said with a laugh, finally settling on a stool. "They help highlight how much better the meat will be. I assume. First time drifting into this joint." So she allowed her eyes to rove over it for a moment, and they settled back with mostly indifference. Anything that might have really caught her eye was all likely back in the kitchen.
