Bears wandering around wasn't the strangest thing Miguel had ever seen, and since they seemed friendly enough, they didn't bother him as he made his way to work. They had, however, left him with quite a bit of Coke.
The kitchen staff were more of a bother - the festive clothes were their own thing to deal with, the carolling he could put up with, but - "How did you manage to get glitter in everything?"
He hadn't been on the island long enough to learn about that one yet.
"Okay, look, we'll just make something new. Get rid of that or take it home or something - we are not serving glittery food."
The cook gave him a betrayed look, and he sighed. "Unless it's food-grade glitter, okay? We're not poisoning people. We can make new things, maybe use up some of this stuff I've got."
