Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [12/20].
Amaya was still feeling a little confused about the weekend, but, thankfully, her employee at the store was an old hat at all this stuff. So much of the day was spent listening to Apu as he detailed for her Fandom Island's long and storied past of Really Weird Things Happening because he'd basically been there since the Dawn of Time.
It was all quite educational, as well as eye-opening, and she was sort of glad for it. Sure, Daventry had its occasional dragons and goblins that were always causing trouble, and Llewdor had domesticated bears and deadly deserts and the occasional evil wizard taking residence in the creepy tower on the mountaintop, but it sounded like they were relatively peaceful little hamlets compared to this place. And she's always said that quiet towns don't pay the bills. And it really had her itching to get a forge going again, because if something like this happened again (and Apu assured her it most certainly would, in one form or another), people might need new weapons. Or improvements or repairs on their currently weapons. Sure, this time, things were taken care of with weird rituals or whatever, but who knew about next time?
If anything, she was wholly comforted by the fact that, no matter what she ended up doing here, there'd be a certain kind of job security in it, and she liked that.
