Furnado Animal Shelter, Tuesday
A kennel of puppies and kittens romped near the shop window today, but Anders found himself more concerned by the miniature goat someone had dropped off early that morning. For one thing, they didn't have a goat-sized cage ready, so Anders needed to scurry about with blankets and baby fences to set up a place for the beast to sleep.
For another, it kept trying to eat his shoes -- which didn't make getting its new home together any easier.
"Keep this up, and you might get turned into a nice fur muff," Anders told the goat.
The goat maaa'd back at him.
