Covent Garden Flowers, Wednesday
This...should have been an easy week. There were no more holidays!
Apparently it was not. Apparently it was time to start ordering things for Valentine's Day.
Peter would have thought it was almost all red roses; how hard could it be?
Apparently, he would have been wrong.
"I've seen dictionaries smaller than this catalogue," he muttered to...the plants, mostly. Some of whom were whining for attention, since Nathan had taken a bit of a leave. "He'll be back when he can," he told them firmly. "You'll just have to make do with the rest of us until then."
The flower shop was open!

So she entered the shop shortly before lunch.

"Last Saturday they kept throwing those small clay balls across the room."
She paused.
"I meant to..." she paused again. "I have been thinking that perhaps..." another pause. "...we should talk."
no subject
"I can talk," Peter agreed.

Seivarden was aware that it might be because of her.
"I wanted to know if there was something you wanted to say."

She was working very hard to hold back irritation in her voice.

He was trying not to be judgemental, too, but he was definitely having to make an effort.

She paused, knowing Peter wouldn't approve of that explanation. "But I could have... not pushed him, I suppose."
She was so very close to add 'but he did it too'. She didn't add that.
"What is it that I'm supposed to learn? I really don't... Oh, is the pronoun thing? Because I did actually ask someone and he looked really surprised."
Zack might not have anticipated that question.

Instead she sighed.
"Would you prefer it if I found another place to stay?"

She paused, thinking. "There's no one else, is there?"

Seivarden, the point and you were a million miles and possibly a few dimensions apart.

"Kanan's friend who was an animal? The baristas at the Perk?"
Seivarden made a gesture with her hand. "I don't think there's anyone else."

"Why don't you try paying attention to whether or not you've pissed people off, and actively trying not to, no matter who they are?" he suggested. "That'd be a really good start."

"There's a lot of asking having to be done here," she noted.

"But I'll try. I will. I promise."
Even she had understood by know she would have to, unless her life here would become more unbearable than it was. To be fair, it wasn't as unbearable as it had been when she first arrived, but since she was stuck here for Amaat knew how long, it might turn worse again.
"But I would really like to know if I've offended any more of your friends."

"I'll do my best," she promised.
