"What the hell have you done to that pancake?"

The cook nudged the plate toward Kanan encouragingly.

"It's a pancake," Kanan noted, not reaching for the plate. "It should have... I don't know... a berry compote and some whipped cream on it."

The cook rolled his eyes and nudged the plate again.

"Not... cheese and gravy? Who the hell is going to eat pancakes with cheese and gravy?"

There was a long pause, and then the cook simply gestured into the kitchen, where everybody was taking a break to sit and do exactly that.

"... I don't understand you people."
