Liam had taken Verity's suggestion to heart and had Ralph head out to the Bee Lady's house to check in on her. Apparently the two of them had spent a rousing afternoon tying (very tiny) 'healing crystals' to the bees.
He was restraining himself from asking how such a thing was possible, and just focusing on the fact that it meant she probably wouldn't be calling in for the forseeable future.
That didn't mean the phones were silent today, though. Because of course not.
"No," Liam rubbed at the bridge of his nose. "Trust me, I am absolutely certain that nobody is using the tunnels underneath the island to smuggle rum into Canada. For one, rum isn't actually illegal there. Two, as I said, we are on an island. There's nowhere for the tunnels to go."
Was it sad that he was actually kind of missing the Bee Lady right now?
