Needful Things; Tuesday [01/23].
A few parcels came into the shop today, so Summer went ahead and opened them to help out and get them on the shelves in the rare occasion that someone came in wanting to buy a bunch of old and mostly creepy looking junk. The majority of the new old stuff was pretty standard: a bunch of old dusty books that she was disappointed to discover were really just old dusty books and not cool occult spellbooks, some lamps (always with the lamps!), about a million mismatched tea cups, no big deal.
But then she got to the bust.
"Uggghh!" It looked fine from the back, but when Summer turned it around to look at its face, she instantly regretted it and nearly dropped it out of a visceral reaction. "No! Ohmygod, why? Ughhh!"
Nightmares. Nightmares forever now.
"We're just going to put you over here, in the corner. Facing the wall."
And yet somehow the eyes still seemed to follow her.
Needful Things is open!
But then she got to the bust.
