Needful Things; Tuesday [04/17].
So here it was, almost her last shift at Fandom's version of Needful Things, a much more tame and quiet and actually kind of boring version of the one she'd worked at back home, but, hey, at least Lady Ghanima never went digital and iced her out of the company when stealing her ideas. Whatever. She'd still kind of miss the place and all its creepy statues and random weird books and other artifacts she wasn't completely convinced weren't cursed. It gave her something to do and money in her pocket that was her own and didn't come with guilt trips and bargaining pleas like she was facing from her mom right now.
Her two weeks notice was in, which means she entered that weird zone where you were still working but knowing that it didn't matter because you'd be gone soon, so she still swept and dusted like always, but she was mostly dawdling around, poking at some of the old stuff, because, you know, that was always a good idea....
