The Perk- Thursday morning
Kitty had had to make the trek to the mainland for her first shopping trip of this whole thing, and she was irrationally annoyed about it. It wasn’t like she hadn’t known she would need things like new clothes, she just hadn’t wanted to do it. On her way back home she stopped at the Perk, partly out of habit and partly because even if she wasn’t chancing having coffee, she missed it and wanted to be around it. At least until the smell gave her a headache.
She got a boring creme-based thing, then found a spot by the window to drop her bags under the table by her feet, and alternate between playing mindless games on her phone and people watching. Not that a ton of people passed by or anything.
