Trooper Station; Monday [05/14].
Well, Rosa was back on the island after her undercover stint back home to help with the Seamus Murphy case...and she still had the hair to prove it. She'd gone into nearly every other salon and hair place in Brooklyn that weekend to be told essentially the same thing: her hair was so dyed and fried and teased that the only quick comeback would have to come in the form of just shaving it all off. And she'd considered it. She liked to think she could totally rock the bald look, but, ultimately, she came to see the horrifying big ol' perm as a sort of badge of honor. This horrifying big ol' perm saved lives, after all.
So she braced herself for the troopers to heckle her, and was pleasantly surprised that they didn't. And then was thoroughly confused because what they did was kind of the opposite of give her crap: they presented her with a cake, jewel colored and festooned with little peacocks and 6s.
"Congratulations?" Rosa asked, looking at them like they were all crazy, because they clearly were. "For what?"
But they just shrugged and threw a little confetti, twirled some noisemakers, and then dispersed to go about their business, leaving Rosa with a peacock cake, a confused look, and a very swift reminder of why she hated being back here again.
[[my show got picked back up, y'all! This was a very emotional weekend. Open station is open!]]
