Luke's, Tuesday
Mitsutada had a particular vision for today's special board.
Today's Specials

King Crab
He thought he was funny.
Luke's was openand OCD-free!
Pho
King Crab
He thought he was funny.
Luke's was open

And he was even going to greet him all polite-like, more or less, when he spotted the specials board. And blinked. Tilted his head alittle.
And then just started cackling outright.

"Is there something funny?" he asked, knowing full well what was going on.

At least, here.
At the Citadel, you ate what he decided to make.

He sent the order back to the other kitchen staff to round up.
"Getting settled in okay?"
no subject
"Gettin' settled in just fine," he agreed easily. "But it don't take much for me, anyway. Biggest adjustment here is all the sunshine, yo. And I knew to expect that when I came here."

Reno's nose wrinkled a little at that.
"Ain't nothin' the matter with my hair," he replied, rolling his eyes. "Nah, I lived in a city that ain't seen sunlight in about twenty years, yo. Big difference."
no subject
"...That has to be hell on the plants," Mitsutada said after a moment. "Not to mention the SAD."
no subject
"Ain't got no plants," Reno said, and shrugged. "Got plenty of that other thing, though."
It could drive a person mad, living under the plate, never seeing the sun.
no subject
"Glad you got out of there. A life without sun is no life at all, really."
no subject
"Hey now," Reno cautioned easily, reaching for his chopsticks. "Careful what you say, there. That's my hometown, yo."
And then it fell down. He had a lot of complicated feelings about Midgar.

It helped that his own reality was finally starting to move forward.
... Sure, that was because it was embracing oil, which was a problem in its own right, but it was better than the actual, literal lifeblood of the planet.
no subject
"I hope you had lots of beach vacations."
no subject
"I had one or two," Reno replied.
Sure, most of them had involved murder. There had been that one trip to Wutai that had been nice except for how he had to off a guy for fuckin' with the rookie...

It wasn't like he was that far off, either.
"Don't I know it, yo. Though admittedly, most of them beach vacations came with a few
sidequestsbusiness activities of their own."no subject
"Though I would not know much about business activities. Barring this place, I would not really call what I do business as such."
no subject
Because Reno was going to keep calling what he did business, at least until somebody actually asked about what his job really was.

He didn't much care for SOLDIER. But then, SOLDIER didn't much care for the Turks, either. SOLDIER had a tendency to overstate their own importance while at the same time pretending they were much more morally sound than the Turks.
But they were right in there overthrowing Wutai with the rest of them.
no subject
He was being quite literal, of course.
no subject
"Huh. No wonder you were all 'keep your hands offa my sword.'"
Yeah, he'd been around the block with this ridiculous island a few times. Not much surprised him anymore.

He smirked a little.
"Even if you clearly don't care for it."
More rod for Reno.
