The Magic Box, Tuesday
Norman was doing his best to learn what he could at work again today. Once everything had been dusted and the shelves were in order, once it looked like there wasn't anything left to do but stand behind the counter of a small town magic shop and bide away the hours, Norman found himself back in the books, deciding not to reach for any book that claimed to actually have magic knowledge inside unless he ran it by Jenkins first, mostly to check for authenticity. Or for safety reasons.
Instead, he found a book about humanity's reactions to the supernatural or the supernatural-seeming throughout American history, which in turn led to a few thorough re-readings about witch trials and vampire panics, which in turn led to Norman wondering if the Chilly Boulder did ice cream deliveries.
Because really, he probably could have picked a lighter topic to fall into. Maybe even one that didn't hit so close to home. But hell if he knew what kind of topic that would even be.
