Listen, part of Rosa's job was to listen through the radio broadcasts and take note of things that might be useful if any shit that didn't involve obvious monsters or squirrel crime even went down on this dumb island. It helped a lot that most of the broadcasters were entertaining. But it helped even more when a certain phrase started popping in a broadcast that wasn't just Seivarden complaining about it.

Even unaware of what was going down in the Perk that day, Rosa couldn't help cackling a little in smug, satisfied glee. Which had the added bonus of making the troopers really suspicious and on their toes, because Rosa sitting there listening there at her computer with her earphones in, cackling to herself, was a really nerve-wracking thing to behold.

She didn't know Kanan much. She thought maybe they'd met a few times, but she didn't really remember, because she forgot stuff all the time like a cool person. But she was kind of feeling like he needed to be her new best friend, as she poured herself another mug of hot bean water.

Mmmmm. Delicious.
