Mitsutada had executed a seemingly fool-proof plan. He'd gotten up early, got dressed early, gotten to work early. Surely, this would mean that the kitchen staff at Luke's wouldn't have the specials board written up already.
He stopped dead in his tracks when he stepped in the front door and was confronted by a staff member finishing the last letter on the board. Mitsutada let out a startled noise, but the worker just gave him a happy smile like it absolutely hadn't been a plan to continue to torment Mitsutada.

He read through the list a few times and settled on saying "You couldn't think of a third recipe to make fun of me, huh?"
Luke's was openand OCD-free.
