The C.I.C. - Tuesday, 9am-Midnight
Nate had received a call from Hernando asking if he'd open the store this week. Kaidan was hurt and couldn't make it in. The raven was waiting, and he was subdued. No quoks, just little churbles and chirps. "I know, buddy. Boss's having a heck of a time lately. In you go." He held the door and followed the bird in.
He took up his station behind the counter and pulled out a book. It was either going to be slow or crazy busy today, depending on how many people knew where the boss was and what condition he was in.
The raven paraded to and fro on the counter, stole a pencil, and then began to play some sort of corvid hockey with it.
[OOC: Open! No OCD. Feel free to pump him for info.]
[Sorry for the wrong date. Sorry, Sam! Didn't mean to mess you up.]

It seemed more... hrm... normal? Normal. Than breaking into Hernando's room at the Arms.
"Yo," she said cheerfully, "I demand to know where your master is!"
Because that was totally normal, yes. And, okay, she knew where he was, but... information collecting sometimes demanded retreading the same ground.

"Uh. Hi," he began, teenage brain in overdrive, "Um. Master? You mean Kaidan? He's totally not my master. I'm not into that whole lifestyle. Um. But. I mean. I could be? With the right woman? But not Kaidan. Dudes are ok I guess but I prefer women."

It had taken her a while to work out that jutsu, but it was totally worth it.
Ino laughed. "Wrong kind of master," she said, amused. "I meant your boss, Kaidan, yeah."

He dug around and found a post-it, writing the number on it as well as the room phone number, and handed it over. "Here."

Was he going to take that literally too?
For now, because his kid was hilarious, she leaned lightly against the counter, and said, "What do you know of his condition? And who're you?"

"I know he was hurt over the weekend and Hernando doesn't want him," his brow pursed in thought, "'doing any stupid macho bullshit like running or sitting up for too long' right now. Does that help?"

Ino's feelings on a kid telling her he was eighteen were... complicated. She felt really weird about it. Mostly because she knew damn well that was one of those lines this world drew between kids and adults and wow, Nate, wow.
Maybe she'd let Kaidan know his employee was a bit of a creep.
"Yeah, that helps a lot!" she chirped. "Thanks so much!"
