Caritas- Tuesday

Tino had decided today that he was going to do some bar tricks.

Tino was now cleaning up glass from the floor while Kitty wiped up the bar. And glared.

He wisely didn't try to defend it.


[Omg I was away from my phone for hours training help. Open, no OCD.]

And there was a Rosa, because what else was she going to be doing on a Tuesday night around here? It was a thing now.

"Kitty," she said, nodding to the other woman as she went to the bar. A different spot at the bar. She wasn't ready to give into having a regular spot in addition to a regular night around here. Yet.

"Rosa," she nodded back. "Something wrong with that other seat?"

Caritas on Tuesdays was in some ways Cheers.

And that was how she knew it was time for a new seat, if it was something to be remarked on if she did it.

"Thought I'd see if the view was any better over her," she offered. "It is further from the band, so..." She shrugged. "Marginally."

"What's the verdict?" Kitty wondered.

Rosa made a...mild show of looking around a little, then shrugged again.

"Probably better with a beer," she concluded.

"Coming right up," Kitty said, going to get one. "There's also the option of licking certain sections of the bar, but I'd recommend against that."

Yeah, that one was going to inspire a bit of a tilt of Rosa's head and a substantial blink. "Do what now?" she asked. "And how is that even an option?"

Tino touched that bar. Tino.

"There was a major bartending fail," Kitty said, glaring at Tino. "It was covered in alcohol."

But...wasn't Tino's whole existence a bartending fail?

And now he had the glare of two women focused on him.

Rosa was tempted to at least sniff the bar now, though, even if she wasn't going to straight out lick it. There would need to probably be bellinis or cold medicine involved if it was going to get to that point.

"...was it at least cheap alcohol?"

"That's the only consolation," Kitty assured her. "And that he cleaned up the floor because I wasn't going to do it."

There might have been a small bit of disappointment there. It was good that quality booze didn't get wasted, but Rosa also felt she could have made a decent case for an arrest based on crimes against bartendering. "What was he even doing that this was even a thing?"

"Apparently, trying to recreate videos from YouTube.," she said. "One where a guy fills a stack of glasses, then pours them into a line of shot glasses, and we didn't get past step one, apparently."

"Oh, yeaahhhhh," said Rosa, "I think I've seen that one. I've also never seen it attempted in real life without it being an utter disaster. But, then again, it's almost always guys like Tino who try to pull it off, so..."

"Okay," she began, sliding over the beer finally, "I might've tried some bar tricks. But like, a small pyramid of shot glasses. Keep it simple."
