Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Wednesday [08/09].
There were just a few more things to take care of here and there, but Amaya realized that, finally, all the little things were finished and everything was set in place and it was actually time for it to happen. It was a little weird, she had to admit, to wake up and not check her phone for messages from Apu or to slog her way across the island to pop into the shop. After she woke up, all she had to do was just stomp down the stairs at the back and there she was, in her new shop, bright and shiny and ready to go, gleaming with pieces of metal that were just waiting to be abused by the forge and her hammer.
And that was exactly what she did that morning, cracking her knuckles and going to pick up the signs she'd made to go right in the front, in the little spot right in front to the left of the open door: BLACKSTONE FOUNDRY AND FORGE. There was another metal sign, to hang over the archway leading into the shop, saying the same thing, and she just had one last thing to add: a bright red banner to hang in the large open window beside the door that looked in at her forge and anvil for curious passersby:
NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Of course, she had all those other projects that she'd had to put off for one reason orher lazy mun another, and now seemed a good time to get back on track with that, since she had very few other distractions. And her supplies from Tanalore had finally shown up, this time without bees, and she could finally start hammering away at that sword for Kanan.
The Forge was open!
[[ i was going to put together a general description/try to sketch it out, but laziness+life spoiled my plans. For a good idea, though, of the layout, the shop's pretty open up front, a lot like this, with a forge like this, a whole mess of weapons displayed this (honestly, that last one's Amaya's shop from the game when you first see it, which is pretty much what I'm picturing, just more open...think Ren Faire blacksmith shop I guess, whatever, I'm rambling now and I'll just stop. also probably sp?]]

He paused in the doorway to make sure he wasn't interrupting anything. "Hi, Amaya. Finally open?"

He shrugged. "I suppose the particulars of the join and materials aren't too important, as long as it's got good balance and construction." He smiled to her. "I'm not looking for an exact duplicate, just something like what I'm used to fighting with. I'm willing to let the artist decide the rest."

She had to admit, she loved it when someone came to her with a job and actually knew what they were talking about.
"A little artistic liberty, eh?" Amaya chuckled, after taking a moment, easily visualizing the sword from the description. "Tell me, how do you feel about spikes?"
A quick glance at some of the weapons on display would definitely inform anyone that Amaya liked her spikes.
"But that seems simple enough, and good balance and construction are a Blackstone guarantee. How do you like the heft on her? Lighter, heavier, somewhere in between?"
