Since it was clear that she'd missed so much crime on this dumb island while she was taking care of actual crime on a bigger, far less dumb island, Rosa settled into her desk to get to the reports on said crime wave.

She turned on her computer.

It booted up.

"Oh, look," she announced. "I'm done."

So with that gruelling task behind her, she kicked up her feet, grabbed the nice new earbuds she got and popped them into her ears to catch up on radio for the week. Which made her start to question why she'd gotten in this habit in the first place. What a bad week for radio. Sure, at least they managed to keep Teen Girl Squad #2 away from the mics this time, but her stupid pothead neighbor ruined one of the few consistently good days, it was kind of depressing just how bad Seivarden was at trying to make jokes, and then Kitty'd husband was getting all his fact wrong again.

"We were not flirting."

You said his class was dumb and that he had weird friends, she reminded herself.

"Oh, yeah. Guess we were."
