Hernando hummed to himself as he puttered around in the morning setting out the baked goods. The quokka were full of excited zoomies and dashed in and out.
A glance at the sky made him frown and head to the outdoor tables to open the patio umbrellas.
The sign was practically bouncing when he was once more indoors. He murmured to it and patted it on the wooden frame before carrying it outside under the awning.

Birthday Tea - ceylon with vanilla bean, cacao nibs, and strawberry - hot or cold
Cinnamon Yerba Mate - toasted green mate with cinnamon - hot or cold
Pear Tart - organic rooibos with honey powder and dried pears - hot or cold
Store closing at 2pm for private event.
Back inside, there was a bounce to his step as he made sure the wall art was all dusted and properly hung, tables were left gleaming. Pussy willows were watered and patted until they purred and added a nice ambient noise to the store.
He took up a position behind the counter and made himself a cup of birthday tea. An experimental sip got a nod of approval. Then he added whipped cream and sprinkles to the top just because he could.
