Oh, sure, Amaya knew she had a nice, fancy office up at the school now, but she'd never been one for offices, really. Even the one at T&C had been mostly used for extra storage when she was there. Besides, the whole thing would have felt a bit disingenuous and a little awkward for her, and she was maybe a little nervous about the idea of having to meet her students' parents and whatnot anyway, so she felt better being in a comfortable spot. Besides, the forge was more in line with the sort of stuff she taught, so anyone swinging by her office to chat would find a note on the door directing them here.

It also served to allow her to finish up on the pommel for Peter's sword, too, work that she was itching to get to that would be easy to set down if she had any interruptions. Much better than just sitting in an office, waiting around for people that might not even show up.
