In the Woods, Wednesday
If you dream them, they will come.
The stone was a little stronger today, its song a little clearer as it found ears and minds and hearts and dreams across the island and beyond.
If you dream them, they will come.
It wished for the echoes of those long gone to reach it - to call them back.
If you dream them, they will come.
[ooc: Come and touch the stone! NFB.]

Until that Wednesday morning, when he nodded off into a morning's nap. Red hair, soft words, the sound of birds... a gentleness that had seemed far gone for days now.
He woke up an hour later, still drowsy. Walked out of the house. Walked down the street. Walked into the woods. Didn't even think about the impulse to touch this stone until he did it.
And the only thought he had about it was, oh, this too.

They would have teased you about it, back when. Tai and Sammo, especially. Master Billaba, delightedly. The clones. Maybe not all the clones. There was one who would've been right there in the same situation, thick and thin.
When Kanan had finally managed sleep, it was with the image of a soon-to-be hero in white armor, helmet tucked under his arm, laughing in delight right along with him. Two green kids walking side-by-side, convinced they could somehow be enough.
If you dream them, they will come.
That morning, when Kanan took his dog for a run, he didn't resist the pull. Led Stance into the woods, crouched down, and brushed his fingers over the stone.
Of all the thoughts that had crossed his mind the night before, of all the faces he'd remembered and the dreams that he'd dreamed, he wasn't sure who he would get to make his peace with now. But the Force was silently encouraging him to make all the peace he could, and he knew he could use all the peace he could make.
He stood in silence over the stone for a few moments more, and then turned and continued his run with his dog.

"You look like you have a puzzle in you. Maybe this'll help." His mother said, with a soft smile.
Liam examined the symbol carved on the stone. "Raidho."
"You know runes?"
"The rune of communication. Of reunion. Tying two sides together." He wanted nothing more than to tell her the truth, right then and there, but he couldn't. Not without risking her death.
This time when he woke, it was with the sense that the clarity he sought was somewhere else on the island, and so he got dressed and began to walk. It felt at once aimless and with a purpose, and eventually he found himself in the woods. In front of a stone.
Maybe it was his imagination, but he could swear that etched on the surface of this stone was the rune Raidho. Communication. Reunion. The same rune his mother had given him six years ago, that first- and only- time they would work together. He reached out with one hand to trace the lines of the symbol, wondering what it could mean that he was seeing this now.
And then, as he drew his hand back, just- a sense of peace. Whatever was happening, whatever was pulling at him, it would all be fine. He was sure of it.
Time to go see if the Perk was open yet.
