The Perk- Thursday afternoon
Sia shouldn't be spending this much time in Fandom lately, but she wasn't sure she had a choice this time. The first dream had been enough to make her not want to be at home, and when they persisted, she took the hint that maybe she shouldn't be at home. So schedules were changed and arrangements were made, and now she was here after a meeting she'd had to call in for, and a brief stopover at a rock, because she didn't want to be cooped up in her hotel room anymore.
She had a drink and a seat at a table so she could go over a datapad, and was at least trying not to look like she wasn't paying attention to the argument two baristas were getting in about syrups. It was a dumb distraction, but she'd take it.

On the upside, she'd both learned a bit of modern politics and found a whole new (morbidly fascinating) font of hate.
But there was only so long she could go without a break, so in the afternoon, she paused for a coffee and maybe something sweet. Or maybe a sweet coffee; she hadn't decided yet.

She was unfortunately very used to Sith, and had in fact had been tortured or almost killed by them a lot over the last year, and there was an initial jolt of alarm as she thought maybe they had tracked hr here, where she didn't have backup.
But she also couldn't sense any imminent threat, so she just watched her warily.

She simply nodded at the lady and stepped up to ask the baristas for the pumpkin spice latte she'd been hearing about.

She wasn't shy about the fact that she was watching her, since Lana had to know by now that she was. But she waited till she was done ordering, waiting to see what the other girl would do. For the moment, her guard was staying up. High. Very high.

"Let me guess," she said, deadpan, "these clothes are last season." She'd trusted Sparkle when he'd suggested the tunic top and leggings, and the green and grey were her own idea, but for all she knew (or cared), they were.

That much was true. And it should be known that Sia was

She paused to blow on it and sip a bit. She frowned at it. "I'm not sure what to think. It's very sweet."

It was the easiest question to ask to know how much she had to worry about.

wonderfulsweet, but for now Lana kept sipping."Three years after the Treaty of Coruscant?" she shrugged. "So far, that doesn't seem to be very helpful to other people. You?"
no subject
You know. Another one.
"A few thousand years after that," she answered. But at least she knew what it was!

"What is life like in several thousand years, then?" she asked. Maybe that would be a safer topic; it was certainly broad.
no subject
You know, like every few years sometimes, whenever things got too calm.

It was absolutely not anything she could do now, partly because of what Lana had just said. But it was a nice idea.
"What do you think of it?"
no subject
She shrugged. "I've honestly no idea why we signed it in the first place, from such a position of strength. It's not like the Emperor did it out of mercy. I can only assume there's some greater reason for it."

It wasn't quite the answer she expected from a Sith, but it was also a perspective that could be helpful.
