So this was apparently one of those weird weekends. Which Miguel found out when he showed up to the cook and his usually-dead mother bickering over the best amount of garlic for pasta sauce.

The busboy shrugged. "Are you gonna argue with her?"

Miguel eyed her dubiously and shrugged. "Where's the dishwasher?"

"Grandparents," the busboy explained.

Miguel sighed and went to make the coffee.
