Clothes Over Bros- Thursday

Brooke was at work, and she was unhappy, which largely had to do with the fact that she was mostly blue.

And now, while trying to dress a mannequin up for homecoming in irritation, she was on the phone with customer service for the bath bomb that had done this to her, using words like "blueberry" and "legal team" and "I will own your whole family."

Anyway there was a homecoming sale on! Hi!

Paris woke up that morning with the weirdest compulsion to buy something sexy.

She'd never had that impulse before. Ever. Evereverever.

So here she was, hoping Brooke could hook a girl up! "Um, excuse me," she began before ending with, "--you're blue."

"Yep! It's been a day!" Brooke complained, hands on her hips, more annoyed that it would take more money to pay lawyers to sue for a bad bath bomb than it would to just wait for it to wash off. "How can I help you!"

Still annoyed though.

"I need a dress for the dance. A good one," Paris said, waving her hands in what she hoped was universal for "sexy tiems."

It wasn't, probably in part because woooow was Paris out of her league here.

Okay, Brooke could calm down now.

"Then you're in the right place," she said, taking a deep breath, and then looking her over. "When you say good dress, what are you envisioning?"

Because that hand waving meant nothing to her.

"Head-turning," Paris said promptly. "In a good way, not in a 'what the hell is she wearing' way. Black. Short. A little bit boob-y?"

"You have come to the right place," said Brooke, already heading towards a rack. "Sequins or metallic, yes or no?"

"Cautious yes," Paris said. "I don't want to look like I moonlight in Vegas."

[gobrookeyourself]

"Okay, not sure how you do cautious sequins, but I have a couple options," Brooke said, pulling them out to show her.

"I like the second one more," Paris said.

[gobrookeyourself]

"All right," she said, looking through the dresses and putting the first one back. "We also have this, which is a little more classic. And clingier."

But tastefully.

"Do you think I could pull that off?" Paris asked.

[gobrookeyourself]

"If you can act like you're pulling it off, you're pulling it off," Brooke told her, speaking from experience. She held it out. "Want to try it?"

"Sure," Paris said, taking the dress and still looking a little dubious.

But this was going to be A Thing for the weekend, so she might as well try, right?

"Dressing rooms are back there," she said. "And keep your shoulders back when you put it on, it'll change everything."

"Okay," Paris said, putting the dress, putting her shoulders her back and coming out. "Do I look ridiculous?"

She didn't!

She did not, and Brooke was a little proud of her scariest student!

"You really don't," she assured her. "If you want to turn heads, that should do the trick."

Especially since it was Paris, and people wouldn't be expecting that.

"Thanks," Paris said, shy.

Well, for her.

"Do you have shoe suggestions too?"

"How are you in heels?" Brooke checked.

"I don't love them but I don't tip over or anything," Paris said.

They didn't have a ton in the way of shoes here, but Brooke would be remiss if she didn't have some things.

So she brought over a pair of kitten heels. "Be comfortable," she said. "No one's gonna be looking at your feet."

"Those are kinda cute," Paris said approvingly.

"They'll give you some leg without focusing on how your feet hurt when you're busy sweeping someone off their feet," Brooke told her.

"You've seen the guys who go here," Paris sighed. "Pass."

"All right, when you're making the guys wish you were sweeping them off their feet," she tried.

"Better," Paris said approvingly.
