Chilly Boulder- Monday morning

Sometimes you just needed ice cream.

For breakfast.

And sometimes you got it in your head to get the biggest sundae they had, which sounded like a good idea until they brought it out, and you really began to understand what that meant.

"This is excessive," Kitty whispered to it.

"Did you order the Skywalker? The Ben? Whatever it's called?" Cade asked, snickering as he came into the shop. "I could see it from the window. Of my hotel."

He thought he was hilarious. Sorry, Kitty.

"I don't know how anyone who eats this doesn't need to be rolled out of here," she said, dismayed.

"He had a bottomless pit for a stomach," Cade said, shaking his head. "It wasn't really fair."

"All that sugar can't be good," she said, still staring at the sundae.

"He was kind of strange," Cade said, cheerfully throwing Ben under the speeder.

"Looks like!" she said, cheerfully running Ben over. "Do you want some? I can't do all this."

"Sure," Cade said. "I like to make healthy choices."

This had never once been true about him.

"Yeah, that line works with a bartender," she said, gesturing towards the second spoon.

She'd wondered why they automatically brought out several.

Cade pulled up a chair and took a bite. "So this is just...everything they have. In a bucket."

"Yep. I'm not sure they can still legally call this a sundae at this point, but they still seem to be doing it," she noted.

"Is there a legal definition of sundae on this planet?" Cade said.

[throughaphase]

"Probably according to the FDA," Kitty said, scooping more ice cream onto her spoon. "If not, there might need to be now."

"So this could make us ice cream outlaws," Cade said, grinning. "I like it."

[throughaphase]

"I mean, I've never been an ice cream outlaw," Kitty laughed, and tilted her head at the sundae. "Not sure I can be too much."

"I'll get us t-shirts or something," Cade promised.

[throughaphase]

"You're not even on island anymore, are you?" Kitty said, dubious.

"No," Cade admitted, "but t-shirts are easy to find."

[throughaphase]

"Mm hm. I'm going to be watching my mail," she warned.

The question was, would it have sleeves?

Cade was allergic to sleeves. So sad.

"I know a guy," Cade promised, taking another spoonful. "It's normal for them to ask on the number of arm and head holes, right?"

"That depends." Mutant, after all. "For the record, one head and two arms over here."

"I'll make sure he knows," Cade promised.

"Good. Make sure they're really obnoxious, too."

Seriously. She'd wear it.

"What's the point of a non-obnoxious t-shirt?" Cade wondered.

[throughaphase]

"Generally, they're for work and day to day events," she told him. "But that's not what this is for."

"This is to laugh in the face of authority and also distract us from our stomachaches," Cade said.
