Fandom Post Office, October 23 (Tuesday)
With Halloween coming up -- and Éponine, after five years and change, was still not sure how she felt about the holiday as it was currently observed -- even the post office wasn't immune to being seasonally decorated.
There were bowls of candy up on the counter, posterboard jack o'lanterns in the front windows, and a few (definitely fake) spider webs hanging from the ceiling.
The swarms of bats that occasionally flew out of the mailboxes, though, were none of Éponine or the staff's doing. If it had been up to them, they certainly wouldn't have willingly subjected themselves to having to clean guano off the floor several times a day.
[[OCD free, open, etc. Mod your bat swarms if you like!]]
