Any doubts that Prompto might have had about one of the things he purchased with his birthday money from his parents was immediately abolished the moment he came in to work at the shelter that day and put it to use.
Sure, a remote controlled monster truck seemed an incredibly frivolous and silly purchase for a newly seventeen-year-old, until you filled the back of it with doggy snacks and squeaky toys and drove it around the shop for most of the day, with the very expected effect of the stampede of puppy chasing eagerly after it.
Which had some disastrous effects when the truck took a few hard turns around corners with conveniently topple-able supplies nearby, but, hey, that was fine. He couldn't do this all day, and he could point to cleaning up the mess as proof that it wasn't all just remote-control-led puppy chases today.
But that was definitely most of it, yes.
