Turtle & Canary; Monday [10/29].
Part of the deal with the whole graffiti-and-etched-glass incident was that Astrid would be spending some time working at Turtle & Canary to help cover the cost of getting the glass replaced, which seemed more than fair to her, especially since she didn't mind working, especially when it was to make up for something. Though she would much rather be surrounded by interesting flowers and plants (and, yes, even jack-o-lanterns) than canned goods and seasonal decor, she figured maybe the general store would be a little more interesting by way of people watching and general foot traffic. And since Apu seemed to have a handle on the cleaning and a very particular way in which he preferred to do it, Astrid was going to hang out at the register to ring anyone up, and work on updating all of the signs to make them look nicer and more professional.
Because, yeah, glitter does not a good sign make, Summer. You can't just slap glitter onto something and call it good.
There would absolutely still be glitter when she was done, of course, it was clearly a part of Summer's whole aesthetic, but at least now the signs would be neat and legible with some original artwork, evenly spaced letters that didn't smush all together at the end because of poor layout and planning, plus glitter.
