Covent Garden Flowers, Thursday
So maybe Eddie hadn't been wrong about the 'regret' part of the jello shot ingredient list. Octavia had over-indulged, and now she was paying for it with a massive headache and an unwillingness to look at some of the brighter flowers directly. Which was difficult, because she needed to use some of them for the arrangement she was working on. Very, very slowly working on.
Also the smell of the store was just... How had she never really noticed before how strong it was?
Still, in a roundabout way, she welcomed the suffering. It was a nice change from the more mental types of anguish she'd been stuck with for the past couple of weeks. She was uncomfortable, but at least the bodily discomfort kept her focus on the here and now.
Covent Garden Flowers was open. Please refrain from making loud noises. (Magnus, this means you.)
[ooc: Open! But SP-y because I'm traveling today.]

He was still wearing his sunglasses from class and looking mildly green. Totally failed that constitution check.

She should know.

Also the sugar.

She was jealous of his sunglasses and was honestly considering stealing them.

"I brought you coffee." Out of love! Friend love!
no subject
"And?"
Was that supposed to grant her hangover-erasing powers or something?

Then she moved out from behind the counter. "Fine."
It wasn't as if it would make things worse.

At least he was comfortable to lean against.

"We made class fight angry pinatas today." That made her feel better, right?
no subject
She was withholding judgment on whether it made her feel any better until she knew.
no subject
Hell yeah.

Even if sugar was the devil. Also, she had to be wiped out for the word to come out so... sincere and soft.

And he literally always dressed up as Taako for those days.

"I didn't."
That was an invitation to tell her more. As long as he didn't raise his voice.

"It's the Midsummer Solstice and there a this cool solar eclipse that occasionally is filled with portents of doom."
no subject
She wasn't sure why she was even questioning it.
no subject
Because it was entertaining at least?
no subject
A beat.
"Never mind, don't tell me. I think it's what my eyes felt like this morning."
no subject
"I'm gonna see if there's some potions at the Fantasy Costco that heal hangovers."
no subject
Probably said more about her than just her relationship with hangovers.

At least the headache somehow made her more agreeable?

She was going to resume her lean against the counter now.
no subject
It was red, so probably. Blue was meant for mana.
no subject
"And it's safe?"
no subject
"Oh yeah. Hasn't killed me yet."
no subject
"Well," she said, "okay."
no subject
"It's fine. Trust me."

But, also, whatever. She went ahead and downed the damned thing.
