Fandom Post Office, November 6 (Tuesday)
When Éponine arrived at work, simply coming through the door turned out to be a much more complicated endeavor than she'd thought.
First off, no matter how certain she was that she was walking through the center of the doorframe, she kept bumping into an invisible barrier just to her right, and it seemed that the actual opening of the doorway extended a foot and a half into the left hand wall, despite its solid appearance. Complicating matters, when she tried to twist and turn to maneuver through the space, she kept . . . going through the wall into an apparently empty void.
Finally she made it through the doorway -- and then promptly disappeared from the post office lobby only to plummet through the ceiling, passing through it as if she'd suddenly borrowed Kitty's powers, and land back in the lobby ten feet from where she'd been.
The mail, too, was in on it: no matter how much of it she sorted and put into boxes or prepared to send out, more of it just kept appearing in the same place. If you needed her today, you'd be likely to find her standing on a chair behind the counter, the disgruntled expression on her face due to the fact that she was trying to sit down, and utterly failing.
At least she had the occasional amusement of watching customers walk into the wall and just keep on walking as if they thought they would actually get somewhere.
