The Perk - Monday morning.
Fenris was stubbornly refusing to acknowledge the weather. He went out in normal clothing, no appropriate outerwear. He conceded that shoes were necessary and grumblingly wore those.
The intent was to go for a walk. That intent didn't last very long. He ducked into the Perk and ordered a large black coffee.
Letting his hands wrap around the mug to warm them up, he eyed the weather outside balefully. Sizing it up as though figuring out where its weak point was so he could kick it there.
It was that kind of day.

Damned if you did...

Well, he could always just phase through a building until he found some clothes.
"Are there not.." He waved a hand about airily, "..phones about?"

Or didn't want to just saunter up to somebody while nude.

He glanced curiously at Norman. "What were you doing out and about as a crab anyway?"
no subject
It had seemed like a great idea at the time, okay?

"Yeah, rationality didn't really occur to me at the time," Norman muttered. "Wasn't thinking much about what would happen if I turned back along the way, either."
But now he was kind of quietly horrified about what it would've been like to get eaten by anything from a seagull to a gremlin.
Nope nope nope...

With no hands.
Which Tino wasn't letting him live down.
Fenris was amused by that.

"Sidon was doing a great job," Norman agreed, nodding, "but yeah, I was small, and Sidon... is not small. It was pretty easy to slip through a door when he wasn't looking."
In hindsight, now he was kind of worried that maybe he'd worried Sidon by disappearing.

Fjord.
"I suppose it could have been worse," said the guy who hadn't randomly transformed into a naked human on a public street. "At least they only arrested you."
no subject
At least Sidon wasn't Norman's roommate?
"I... I mean, yeah, I didn't exactly resist arrest," Norman replied, grimacing. Being tasered and handcuffed while naked didn't seem like a great time.

Hard to pick locks with only one hand..

Norman was pausing to picture the possibilities for a moment.
"... I really like Fandom for that reason," he decided.
Irritated as he was about where he'd turned back, all the same.

"For the thieves?" Fenris teased.
no subject
"For the fact that I basically got let off with a slap on the wrist and a call to my parents," Norman replied, smiling awkwardly. "I don't think I've had any problems with thieves yet."

"I mean, comparatively," Norman muttered. And then nudged his pastry box toward Fenris. "Want one?"
He had too many.
no subject
He glanced at the box, "Are you having a party?"
no subject
Norman also looked down at the box.
And he sighed.
"No. I just said, 'one of each,' and, to my surprise, I wound up with one of each."
He wasn't admitting to being distracted by a gremlin that had been dead for ages.
no subject
Norman didn't seem the type to sit down and eat an entire box of pastries.
no subject
"Yeah," Norman replied, grimacing down at the box. "I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to do."
While feeling very, very silly about it.

Norman looked mildly dubious.
"Happy... day after Veterans Day? Have a pastry?"

no subject
"Happy 'Norman panicked and now has too many pastries day,'" Norman suggested.
At least it was true.
