The Beach - Monday in the morning.
Kaidan was running on the beach again. For once, he had headphones in. The music playing was some random mix of stuff from the Dropify app. He mostly wanted it as background rhythm to set a pace.
A song came on with a really nice thumping bass. He wasn't paying attention to the words until suddenly a line caught his attention.
"..Did he just say 'with the poodoo'?" Kaidan asked aloud. He listened, trying to see if it would be repeated in the lyrics.
It wasn't, but another couple lines grabbed him. "I'mma roll with the aliens. Man, f*** these homo sapiens.."
The line made him laugh way, way harder than it should've. He clicked the button to add the song to his playlist.
[Open beach is open! Song is 'Arrest the President' by Ice Cube and the lyrics are NSFW. It's 'voodoo', but I misheard it IRL and now you get to share my amusement.]
