Astrid (blonde again and pleasantly surprised she'd managed to pull it off by herself well enough) had never really thought about it until just that moment, when she came into the shop that day to see that there were actually some orders for some arrangements, but Thanksgiving centerpieces totally were a thing, weren't they? Her Thanksgivings had never really been very traditional...none of the usual holidays really were...and she couldn't remember too many of them when they were even in America for. But she was glad for the distraction, because putting together some centerpieces in warm autumnal colors, taking advantage of a few cornucopia-shaped baskets was a good way for Astrid to get her mind off things and just focus on creating something beautiful and nice.

She was mildly surprised that there was nothing on the List about flowers, though, which, of course, just made her wonder if she should regretfully inform Peter that she really shouldn't be wasting her time on anything that wouldn't help lead to her landing a husband. Being younger would clearly give her an advantage over some of the other girls, but as Ms. Davis had said, time was a'wasting!

...honestly, Astrid just couldn't wait until next Monday's class. Not with this assignment. Not with that class. And it was nice to have something to look forward to.
