Caritas- Tuesday

The bar was open, but Kitty of course wasn't there.

No, anyone who came in would be treated to Tino manning the bar himself. Soooo, have fun with that.

[Clearly a mod Tino night!]

Seivarden would have been more surprised, and a little worried, if Kitty had been here. And she wasn't even sure if Rosa was going to show up, considering the state she had been in yesterday, but she had been promised drinks and Seivarden wasn't going to take that back.

This might be a bar, but she was a regular and the tea they served was undrinkable, so she had brought a thermos with proper tea. Tiny Rosa had claimed she drank tea when she was sick and she had clearly been sick yesterday.

For now, she ordered a beer for herself, as she planned to stay reasonable sober tonight.

Rosa had woken up locked in the evidence room at the station that afternoon, busting herself out only to discover that she'd been passed out in there for a full twenty-four hours, and the only thing preventing her from shoving her boot so far up Ralph's ass it knocked out his teeth was the fact that he apparently covered her class that day? Which left him covered in splatters of bright, sparkly paint. So she was confused and disorientated and...even worse...still as sick as ever.

Odds were that Kitty wouldn't even be at the bar that night, and she just wanted to go home, and while Caritas was on the way, literally right across the street, she just...just...

No.

But at least she sent a text.

I can't do tonight.

Sorry.

Amazing how she managed to get reluctance convey in text with just a well timed pause between messages, really.

Seivarden wasn't entirely surprised, just disappointed. She looked at the text for a moment, trying to ignore that her first thought had been tp stop by Rosa and see how she was doing. She was definitely ignoring that thought.

Quickly finishing her beer, she ordered a tequila, downed it, then pushed the glass toward Tino.

"Another one."

A tequila later she replied to the text:

Broughht tea in case youre sick.

Then added:

Good tea

Fittingly, Rosa's own tea had finished by thr time that text came in, right about as she was going to settle in and hope that sleeping twenty-four hours didn't make it difficult to sleep for about a million more.

Another benefit to going home instead of stopping in: no need to worry about how her immune system had weakened her ability to control her smile muscles once that text came on.

She should rest, she knew that, but she couldn't help maybe ONE quick response.

I'm pretty sure I specifically said no tea.

Practically sang it, really.

Seivarden told herself she wasn't going to reply to that, so of course she did, half a tequila later.

Yeah, you did.

Seivarden had the disadvantage of everyone in the bar being able to see her smile. Or maybe it was a smirk. It was hard to tell.

Rosa told herself she wasn't going to send any more responses, either.

Which is, of course, how she ended up sending one anyway. Because, well, she thought of something to respond with, why just let it go to wastr?

ok good. So you DO know that you're a dumbass, then. Or an asshole. Or both.

She could start argue against it, but knew Rosa well enough not to.

Is that a compliment from you?

It....was not an insult, at any rate.

And Rosa couldn't just leave it at that, could she? Well, she could. She thought about it. She probably should have, but what she responded was clearly applicable toward her decision to respond at all.

I'm sick. I can't be held responsible for anything I say or do right now.

You always call me that. Are you always sick?

That made Seivarden grin. She shouldn't have answered, but it made her grin.

died8yearsago: (yup that sounds about right)

[personal profile] died8yearsago 2018-11-21 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
This whole not replying thing would be so much easier if Seivarden would just go ahead and also not reply.

But. Since she wasn't...

That would honestly explain a lot.

Yeah, it would.

Seivarden pressed send before thinking about how that could be interpreted to her disadvantage.
