Trooper Station; Monday [12/10].
Oh. Cool. Great. Random, weird, creepy holiday-themed decorations popping up all over the island? Rosa was so looking forward to her day of pretty much being tied to the phone, fielding calls from people who somehow went through crap like this all the time and still didn't seem to get how this worked.
To be fair, there were likely a few occasions in the history of the island where such things weren't quite as innocuous as it would seem, but anyone who waited long enough could see that this was not one of those times.
"Yes, ma'am," Rosa sighed into the phone, "we are aware of the situation. No, ma'am, I don't think you need to...well, ma'am, are they actually doing anything? ...No? Just being weird and creepy? Well, okay, being weird and creepy in general isn't against the law, if it was, mostly all of my coworkers would be locked up right now....Mmhmm...yeah....well, how about if they're still there in an hour, you call us back, and we'll send someone over, okay? Okay. Bye."
And as soon as the phone was back in the cradle, it perked back to life again with more ringing, and Rosa had just enough time to throw back her head, groan, and hate the universe for a second before picking it up and going through pretty much the exact same thing she'd be going through all day.
