Trooper Station; Monday [12/17].
Considering that Rosa couldn't really trust Arlo 2 to not somehow manage to get into something that had turned into hot chocolate, which would be bad, the dog was definitely going to spend the day at the station with her. This would involve at least a few attempts at training her as an attack dog, attempts that went virtually no where as she tried to sic her on the troopers. If the island was ever invade by anything whose weakness was having their boots licked, though, boy, did they have that one covered.
Most of the day, however, was spent with Rosa and Arlo 2 just chilling at her desk, fielding the occasionally distressed call from a citizen who should really know better than to be alarmed by this sort of thing, and watching in a weird sort of fascination as the troopers tested the limits of this whole water-to-hot-chocolate thing, especially with the coffee maker, and trying to figure out just how long it had to sit before turning into hot chocolate and whether or not coffee made with hot chocolate was a good thing or not.
Since Rosa was convinced that any coffee made in that coffee maker, regardless of anything else, was just destined to be terrible, these experiments seemed mostly futile, but they were mildly more entertaining than paperwork.
