The kitchen staff at Luke's was discussing New Year's resolutions. Lots of going to the gym and saving money and eating better, all the classics.

"How about you, boss?" the cook asked. "What's your resolution?"

Eliot flipped the knife in his hand without looking up from his meal prep. "Same thing I resolve every year: not to murder you bozos."

The kitchen staff got back to work.

Luke's was open.

Personally, Eliot was partial to a nice big bowl of tonkotsu ramen. But mostly because it was great for hangovers.
