It was safe to say that Beau hadn't been expecting to walk into work this morning and get rained on, indoors, by popcorn -- which was exactly what happened when she showed up to start her shift.
". . . really?" she asked the ceiling, and took a fluffy kernel to the eye for an answer. "Ow! Motherf--"
Yeah, it was going to be one of those kinds of days, and there was a small basket of umbrellas by the door a large bowl of popcorn on the front counter. There were also popcorn drifts around the sides of the machines and a sprinkling of popcorn on the weight benches and Beau's parkour course, but eating those might be less advisable.
Not that Beau -- who had one of the new member package duffel bags open behind the counter to collect as much popcorn as she could for herself -- would care one way or another if you chose to. The consequences were on you if you did, dude.
