Holoscene, Thursday

Mae was having a smashing things day again today at the abandoned arcade. She was maybe starting to wonder if she should worry about how often she was doing this.

Also, would ordering pizza to be delivered to the abandoned arcade be more baller, or suspicious? Hmmm.

[expecting a couple folks. The front door is unlocked, but not open or advertised, so others may wander in as well if they're the sort who would try to!]

Although he probably really didn't need to be, Prompto felt it was be a good idea to amp up the sneakiness factor once he and Yang got closer to the oh-so-hard-to-find abandoned store that Mae was talking about, throwing his back flat against the exterior wall for dramatic effect and waving Yang over to do the same. It seemed pretty quiet, from this vantage point, so that seemed like a pretty good sign so far. "This is the place," he told her in a whisper before looking up and down the street for any sign of anyone before creeping toward the door.

Yeah, no, he wasn't winning any real stealth points here. But considering it was still early enough to be light out, he wasn't exactly going for them, either. He was just building atmosphere.

He reached out to slowly try to push the door open, and was genuinely surprised that it was unlocked and yeilded. "Oh, sweet, it's open!"

That made things way easier (and took care of the potential embarrasment of not being able to pick the lock or something), but also made him feel...slightly more suspicious.

Yang was totally humming the theme to one of those spy shows under her breath as they skulked around, grinning at the ease with which the door opened.

"Score, I don't gotta punch it in," she enthused. "Let's do this!"

"And here I was worried you'd be disappointed you didn't get to punch it in," Prompto noted with a faint snicker, before edging closer to the door, pushing it open just enough to poke his head in and look around. "Okay, the coast is clear."

He slipped in, rolling a little around the door to scope out the blind spot behind it, making sure there was no Mae or gremlins or anything else lying in wait. Still clear, he opened the door a little more for Yang, gesturing her in with a little bow as he formally invited her in. "My lady, it doth seem the place is ours for the taking."

"If I punched it, people would know I've been here, and we want to be able to keep coming back," Yang pointed out, moving past him with a wink to take point, her bracelets sliding to expand into her gauntlets with barely a thought, just in case of Gremlin. "OK. Where to from here?"

"Hmmmm." Prompto narrowed his eyes a little as they swept over the room; it was his first time actually in the place, so that was a pretty good question. "It's a little....uh, emptier that I thought it would be? Buuuut....Oh!" That was when he noticed the doors to the suites, and spared no time in bouncing over there. "Duh, over here!"

He paused, though, again, at the first door, leaning in and trying to listen at the door then jerking a chin toward the other one for Yang to check. Divide and conquer, baby!

Man, they hadn't even gotten into the VR yet, and he was already getting way too into this.
