Luke's, Sunday
Was Kanan at Luke's today?
Miraculously so, yes. He'd come in riding dogback with a piece torn out of a pillowcase to wrap around his shoulders to keep him warm for the trek in. His hair was loose, which was driving him slightly up a wall, and his feet were bare, which was less than pleasant, but so long as he had a very, very large dog to hang out with, he was faring well enough even in this weather.
Did he cheat and use the Force in order to unlock the door today, letting Stance nose his way in from there? Absolutely. He used it to get the doorstop in place so that it was open a crack for folks of diminutive size, too.
And was he content to just sit back and let the cook and the dishwasher continue doing their thing in the kitchen, the cook riding on the dishwasher's shoulder and barking orders for the day? You bet.
The specials board today was written in the dishwasher's hand, too.
Welcome to Luke's!
Today's Specials:
Tiny Pancakes
If anybody needed Kanan, he'd be sitting comfortably on his dog's head, clad in nothing but a pair of pants and a scrap of torn fabric around his otherwise bare shoulders like a cloak, informing Stance that he was a Very Good Boy, indeed.

It was Sunday, he knew where Kanan should be. Whether or not he was actually there..
... was answered when he saw Stance inside and the door propped open. Kaidan jogged in and called happily, "Hi Stance! Hi buddy!"
That was poorly thought out. That had a suddenly supersized dog hopping up and all excited to see him. "Shit!" Kaidan blurted and ducked behind a chair leg. "Easy, buddy!"
no subject
"Whoa, buddy," he called, "okay, it's okay. Sit."
Before he could, you know, lick Kaidan or something. Licking bite-sized people would be bad, today.
Fortunately, Stance planted that butt on the floor, and Kanan made his way across his big little noggin to take a seat on his snout, giving him a fond pat on the muzzle.
"Good boy. We like Kaidan, we don't want to trample him today." He smirked down at him from where he was seated. "Do we?"
no subject
He walked forward to give Stance a fond if tiny pat on the side. "Good boy."

Stance gave a little, confused whine before sitting back up again.

Colgate Wisps. Tasted terrible but it worked.
He patted the dog again. Then he grinned at Kanan and dug into one of the pockets on the side of his cargo pants.
Solemnly held out an appropriately sized hair tie.
no subject
He'd been half considering giving himself a haircut with a paring knife or something all weekend. His usual hair fastener was only just slightly smaller than he was.

He added, "He brought over a bunch of doll-sized clothing, so if you need a shirt, Jack might have something. None of 'em except this one fit over my biceps."
no subject
He ever so gratefully started carding his fingers through his hair before pulling it back.
There. Much better.
"And I wouldn't complain about a shirt, if Jack happens to have spares. I did my best with what I had," his poor pillowcase, "but something a little more substantial would be great."
no subject
"Good. Check with her, she has a horde of doll clothes and shoes. I think she's hoping if she's wearing some of the stuff when she gets big again, it'll size up with her. Most of it's her style," Kaidan said with a small smirk.
He eyed Kanan and chuckled. "You look like the cover of a barbarian novel. All you need is a sword."
no subject
Important question for the day.
"Unfortunately, my lightsaber was with my armor, it's bigger than I am right now. But we do have those little sword-shaped sandwich picks up on the counter." He jerked a thumb upwards.
Way, way upwards.
no subject
Not that Kanan's arms were by any means small, but they didn't have that 'I cart around a heavy suit of armor like it's nothing' build to them.
He squinted up at the counter. "So.. just how high does your Force lift go?"
no subject
"I mean, we could find out, but I was thinking of letting somebody else do the work."
Yes. Yes he was giving his dog's hip a pat.
"Much as sometimes I would like to pick you up and throw you."
no subject
"So we just climb up on the buddy like he's a horse?"
no subject
And then, turning to Stance again, he added, "So, what do you say, buddy? Lay down so we can climb up again?"
It wasn't cheating to close his eyes a moment and ask him through the Force if he'd be so kind, dammit. It was just expedient.
no subject
It didn't stop Kaidan from grinning at the back of Kanan's head when he did so, mind.

Tiny pancakes with a sword pick through them.

Kanan was up with just as much ease, making his way to Stance's head. Stance waited patiently until both men were situated before standing up again.
"You might want to grab hold to one of his ears," Kanan added with a soft chuckle. "When I give the word, this elevator is going to go up fast."
no subject
"Should be good."
no subject
Oh yeah, when Stance got to standing, he stood with a gusto. He'd learned yesterday that standing on command meant he was going to get praised so much.
Kanan's balance didn't so much as waver in the process.
no subject
"Kind of like a ship taking off," Kaidan noted.

Did he turn to kiss Stance between the eyes? Shut up. His whole face fit in that area now.
He hopped down onto the counter and walked over to a napkin dispenser, looking up at it. "I'm starting to understand why short people are so annoyed all the time. I kind of want to just push it over for being there."
