The thing was, Keyleth had no idea what Valentine's Day even was until her class yesterday, and even then she'd walked away from that class still fairly fuzzy on the actual details of it. It wasn't until she fielded her first phone call of the day and somehow managed to talk the customer on the other end of the line into explaining it to her (or possibly just making the person feel sorry enough for her to explain) that she really grasped the concept.

But now that she did, she thought it was awfully sweet

In between taking calls for floral orders -- and there were a lot of them, leaving her rather flustered by around lunchtime -- she was adding some extra flourishes to a few seasonal arrangements of her own design, druidcrafting some extra sprays of pink and red flowers or adding little hearts shaped out of reeds.

"What do you think, Tickles?" she asked every now and then of the kittenwillow who was perched on her shoulder or sitting on the countertop to supervise her work. "Really? Aw, thanks."

Whether or not Tickles actually liked the results, she was going to take its purring as a sign of encouragement.
