Blackstone Foundry and Forge, Wednesday
Fjord hadn't even made it all the way into the foundry today when he noticed Amaya's sign. He had stopped mostly to admire the handiwork involved in making it, but stuck around a moment longer to contemplate the words themselves.
It was entirely possible that he had himself a hearty laugh before heading inside and setting to work finishing the last of his organization project for Amaya.
No reason in particular.

"I feel dirty," he complained.

Well, that was a hell of a conversation starter, Fenris. Fjord raised an eyebrow and lowered a hammer as the elf walked in.
"... Why do you feel dirty?"

And that would be Fjord's brow knitting together just that little bit more.
"Do I at least get to know what the social convention is?"

Fjord tilted his head a little.
"The one Amaya's sign out there is about?"
Seemed like a stupid holiday. But he was always all for another excuse to peruse shiny weapons, so it was a trade-off.

"Amaya's running a sale on weapons for the holiday," Fjord explained. "Wasn't sure what the hell the holiday really was, but now that I know it's an actual thing, I might have to do... something. Haven't completely decided what, yet."
But something good.

So much whining.
"I cheated."
Because of course he did.

Fjord blinked.
"Cheated?"
A pause.
"How do you cheat at selling flowers?"
no subject
He hadn't cheated in selling any. "There have been so many orders. They're all stupid roses and they're always red. It," Fenris declared, "is dumb. If I care about someone, I get them food or booze."
With a nod back at the sign, "Weapons are good. I didn't even think of that."

"Yeah, the weapon thing is pretty fuckin' brilliant," Fjord agreed. "I might have to take advantage of it somehow."
He could literally just make his own weapon. But still.

"If it helps any, I've got a bit of my own mischief in the works." Fjord offered.
Because for a half-orc, he was sometimes very pointedly all troll.

Fjord raised his eyebrows and looked that particular sort of completely innocent that was absolutely just 'totally guilty' thinly veiled behind a pretty face and a coy smile.
"If you can keep a secret, it's something I can," he agreed.
[OOC: And ssssh from here too please, squirrel friend!]

Mostly because it was about Fjord but meh. Details.

He nodded toward the sign, a grin splitting his lips.
"I've got someone in mind to be the recipient of one of Amaya's fine weapons."
no subject
So off base.

And appreciation wasn't the goal at all.
