Community Center Class: Modern Earth Entertainment, Monday

"Well, this weekend was interesting," Peter started with a sigh and a shrug. "If you lost your memory like I did, anyway. There are a few movies about the subject, but I'm assured that this one is a really good one, so I figured we'd go with it. If your weekend was less weird and more traumatic, feel free to get some food and head out, or sit on the other side of the room."

He pressed play. "Otherwise, enjoy!"

Eat the food! There's just chips and popcorn this week, since Peter didn't know this class existed until this morning.

Well, at least Amaya's memory came back in time for movie class, right? She'd sort of laid low in her apartment and the shop for the most part, because even if she hadn't known much about herself, she seemed to know enough to discern that that seemed like a fairly good idea. She'd wound up just kind of poking around the shop a little, not wanting to get too into it because it was definitely the sort of thing that could cause some trouble if someone who didn't know what they were doing messed with them, and wound up spending most of the time up in the apartment getting sucked into some books, which she hadn't necessarily intended to do, it just sort of happened once she cracked one open and started reading.

The idea of going outside in a world where you didn't even know who you were seemed a bit intimidating, anyway.

It seemed quiet, shy, nerdy and bookish Amaya took advantage of coming out a little since tough-and-bold blacksmith Amaya had forgotten that she was supposed to be all tough and bold.

But she was back, and being extra bold by going for both chips and popcorn this time around instead of just the usual popcorn.

Peter nodded to her. "Did you have an interesting weekend, too?"

Amaya nodded back, considering for a brief second feigning a sort of ignorance about the whole thing, but, really, there wasn't much point in all that, was there? Although it was never that hard; she could always blame just being wrapped up in her work, which, truth be told, was often what happened when this things gave her amiss.

"I tried my best to make it as uninteresting as possible," she offered. "And I'm actually proud to say I think I managed to succeed. How about you, Peter?"

"I was mostly bored, because I didn't know what I could do to occupy myself." Peter shrugged. "It wasn't bad, though. At least I still spoke English."

"Yeah?" Amaya's head tilted a little. "You usually wind up with something else on these kinds of weekends?"

If she'd ever noticed, she'd put it mostly out of her mind, as she tended to prefer not to remember anything about these kinds of weekends if she could help it.

"English isn't my native language," Peter said. "When we've been young before, I only know Greek. It makes things a little difficult."

Or huddle in a trauma pile on the other side of the room.

He's here, and even knows who he is!

"In my defense, I had amnesia," Fenris began before he explained, "I went to the flower shop yesterday and made bouquets and arrangements and I refuse to take responsibility for them."

They weren't bad. They were actually kind of nice. This is what made him twitch.

Peter gave him an odd look. "You went to work despite your amnesia, and you did your job, and you're apologizing?"

"They're.." His hands flailed in the air, "..squoodgey."

They were probably perfect for Valentine's Day. Fenris hated everything about them.

"Squoodgey?" Peter frowned. "Sloppy?"

Fenris looked scandalized! "No, of course they're not sloppy! I lost my memory, not the use of my hands! They're just.."

Another flail.

"..Squoodgey."

They were pink and red and had little decorative baby's breath and ferns and .. they were squoodgey.

"...Maybe I'll just hold judgement until I see them," Peter said. What the heck was 'squoodgey'?

"Fine," Fenris agreed, "but I refuse to accept responsibility for them. I blame memory loss and Tickles."

A beat.

"Had I thought of it earlier I'd have simply blamed it on Keyleth. She would probably enjoy the arrangements even if they have less colors than she uses."

"I'll remember - it's all Tickles' fault," Peter assured him.

Whatever the problem was.

This is my mom's #1 example of awful movies she hated to watch.

I like it.
