Sparkle was maybe looking a little bit on the harried side today. People who had left Valentine's shopping until very nearly the last minute were looking for romantic stay-at-home date ideas, and it was completely, utterly unsurprising that those ideas seemed to largely involve make-up, perfumes, incense, scented candles, fancy teas, bubble bath...

He was up to his eyeballs in fancy-assed date shit, and by the end of the day, the shelves were once again looking barren and he maybe wanted to just collapse into a bubble bath for a while himself and just not move for a while.

At some point during the day, a delivery is made. A small stuffed panther with green glass eyes is set on the counter. A large yellow ribbon with metallic metal threads is tied around its neck with a complicated and fluffy bow. A tiny glittery tag hangs from it simply reading, "For My Panther."

HE GOT HIM A KITTY.

Sparkle squeaked when the plush toy arrived, and immediately picked it up and gave it a squish.

And the rest of his shift was totally going to be spent carrying that cat around with a big dumb smile on his face, so there.
